Le Bon Enfants is committed to making high quality day care affordable for all families. We believe that by doing this, we are giving the parents a chance to help their family get a step ahead while knowing that their children are in the best care possible. Over the years, LBE has been fortunate enough to help families and staff in several ways. The stories below are only a few examples: 2024: Sheila was made aware of a staff member with a Dominion power bill that had accumulated since COVID and paid it off for her. In January, Sheila was made aware of a large medical bill for a staff member and made sure it was taken care of. In the beginning of 2023, LBE committed to helping a mom and her family with meals and support through her breast cancer journey. In 2022, LBE wrote off six months of daycare for a family with two children attending, whose Dad lost his job, thus enabling them to catch up on their household bills. LBE made the decision to provide free care for all staff members who have children of age to attend. October - December 31, 2021 - Le Bon Enfants provided free child care for a single mother of one, who had lost her job due to COVID. October - December 2021, LBE cleared off the balance due of three families that due to COVID, had been unable to make payment. January 2021, due to COVID, a family who had been with LBE for two years, had fallen on hard times. LBE provided free child care until they were able to secure employment. For 2019, due to a family tragedy, another family was offered free child care to help them navigate the unforeseen future they suddenly had to come to terms with. Helping children comes naturally to Sheila and 2017 and 2018 were no exception. Throughout both years, she made it possible for several families to remain at LBE after having fallen on hard times. For the past several months Le Bon Enfants has been committed to taking care of wonderful family who's baby was born at 19 weeks. Big brother had been attending Le Bon Enfants for awhile. Realizing the financial hardship premature birth can cause Le Bon Enfants donated free child care while the parents tend to the newborn keeping a structured routine for big brother. ~2016 Another family was faced with temporary unemployment. Knowing that the mother would soon receive a contract position, LBE provided the family with free child care. The mother is now fully employed and happy that her children were able to have consistent care with the help of LBE. ~2015 A new LBE family helped out their own family, by temporarily taking custody of their niece. To help offset the cost, LBE offered their niece child care at a reduced rate. This made it easy to focus on the well-being of their niece without worrying about an additional financial burden. ~2015 Our first recipient was a military family of four. After serving our country for seven years, the dad decided it was time to make the transition into the civilian workforce. At the same time, the mom took on a career shift to advance up the ladder. Le Bon Enfants offered care for their two young children at no cost. ~2014 Giving back to the families of the day care and the Hampton Roads community will always be a priority for LBE. Our goal is to give the children a safe, loving and educational environment while allowing the parents to keep their minds at ease and focus on providing a brighter future for their families. |
