At Le Bon Enfants, we pride ourselves on providing quality childcare at an affordable rate. Although our children usually set the tone, we believe it is important to provide structure and a daily routine. Our programs are all designed to encourage children to learn through manipulative and imaginary play. Reading will occur daily in each room to help invoke creativity, expand vocabulary and increase the love of reading and learning in every child. In addition, each child will have outdoor playtime, weather permitting.
Room 1: Teaching 4 Year olds
Room 1 will teach your four year old all of the skills for kindergarten readiness. Curriculum is ordered through The Learning Box, which is easy to adjust to each child's learning ability. This gives the teachers the best advantage to teach each child at his or her own level. Children in this classroom leave with the ability to write their own name, address and phone number. They learn simple math, have become beginner readers and have fine tuned their motor skills. Our goal is to have your child above the curve and ready to excel in kindergarten.
Room 2: Infants from 8/9 Months up to 16 Months*
This is the age of exploration! Children in this room are learning or just have learned how to travel faster on two legs! The children will be able to move about and learn how to steady themselves on their legs. They will also work on fine motor skills and vocabulary. Room 2 children will be under the guidance of two teachers who have a wealth of knowledge and experience. To help these children through their development, they will focus on imaginative play. Time will be spent playing ball, singing songs and talking with the children to identify people or objects in their environment. They will also begin to learn colors and shapes as well as identify animals and the sounds that they make.

Room 3: Toddlers from 16 to 24 Months
Two year old children are working on developing their own personalities while mimicking the people around them. In this room we have developmental toys that will allow the children to discover their creativity and imagination while providing real life examples of tools used every day in a household. The teachers will help the children expand their vocabulary, so that they are able to clearly communicate their wants and needs. As the time draws near, these little ones will be introduced to the potty, and Le Bon Enfants will help the parents with toilet training.
Room 4: Infants from Six Weeks to 8/9 Months*
Our two teachers will be cuddling up our infants and catering to their every need. Leaving your newborn is one of the most difficult days in your life, but you will feel comfortable knowing that these two women will give them all they love and nurturing through the day. Children in this room will be fed and changed as needed. The teachers will work on tummy time, strengthening your baby’s neck and getting them ready to walk on in to Room 2. They will also work on important developments for their age group and will introduce some sign language to the children to assist with communication.

Room 5: Teaching 3-Year-Olds
Le Bon Enfants is primarily a day care, but we want your child to be ready to take on the world when they arrive in Kindergarten! The three teachers will begin with a structured curriculum designed to help your child begin to write their letters, numbers and name. We will also work on identifying sight words and continuing their phonics training in class. Each month will have a theme that will center on particular letters for that month. Children should be able to identify, phonetically pronounce and write the letter(s) by the end of that month. The curriculum in this classroom will help prepare them for them for the four-year-old classroom next year!
Room 6: Toddlers from 2 to 3 years old
When your child moves to Room 6, they will be introduced to a classroom setting.
The teachers will continue developing their fine motor skills. Your child will learn how to hold a pencil/crayon properly, work on their scissor skills and practice gluing. For cognitive development, we will work on sequencing of events, identifying sight words and using prepositional words correctly. Upon departure from this room, each child be able to count from 1-20, know the phonetic alphabet and be able to identify each letter of the alphabet. Outdoor and story time will always be part of the daily routine at Le Bon Enfants!

Kindergarten
In the Fall of 2018, Le Bon Enfants added an all day Kindergarten. Not only does it help fill a void in our community, it helps our families keep their children at one facility throughout the day. When enrolling your child in our program, you are able to drop off at 7:30am and pick up at 6:00pm with breakfast, lunch and snack provided. Curriculum is taught between the hours of 9:00am - 3:00pm. Le Bon Enfants is committed to keeping the teacher student ratio at one to ten, giving our students the best chance for first grade readiness. See the Kindergarten page for reviews.
*Room placement is contingent upon each individual child’s development. Each child will be moved based on their own individual needs.
